About the artist

The artist who created “Rival Tradition” is Gary Blevins, a well known watercolor artist based in Ohio. Gary attended the School of the Dayton Art Institute as well as Ohio State University where he Majored in Fine Arts. In the time since, Gary has had numerous commissioned paintings for corporations and individuals. In 2004, Gary was commissioned to paint the “New Era” painting of the Ohio State University football stadium. He also participated in a signing with Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel, where both Gary and Coach Tressel signed the “New Era” art prints. Gary has a very unique style and his work has attracted a lot of interest on the collegiate level.
